Job Requirements
For appointment to this
grade, a candidate must have: -
- Cumulative service period of six (6) years
relevant work experience, three (3) of which must have been in the grade
of ICT Assistant II or in a comparable position;
- Diploma in any
of the following fields; Computer Science, ICT, IT, Computer Engineering,
Computer Networking, Software Engineering, Business IT, Data Science,
Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering,
Cyber Security or equivalent from a recognized Institution; and
- shown merit and
ability as reflected in work performance and results.
Job Description
Duties and responsibilities;
- Verifying ICT
operational data for reporting and optimizing performance;
- Installing and
configuring ICT systems, databases, Applications, networks, data center
services and communication systems;
- Troubleshooting,
diagnosing and solving network, software and hardware issues;
- Scheduling
preventive measures, repairing and maintaining ICT equipment and software
application;
- Coordinating ICT
help desk services;
- Providing end
user support and capacity building;
- Identifying user
needs to inform development of system specifications;
- Administering of ICT systems, databases,
Applications, networks and communication systems;
- Assisting users
with information security management issues and related procedures; and
- Implementing
ICT-related risk management strategies.
