Job Group F

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:

i. Served satisfactorily in that grade of Coxswain II for a minimum period of three (3) years; and

ii. Possession of the First Aid Certificate and Fire Fighting Course Certificate from a recognized institution.

Duties and Responsibilities

i. Steering vessels of up to 35 feet in length and a Net Registered Tonnage (NRT) not exceeding 50 tons;

ii. Interpreting acoustic records for fishing operations and

iii. Requisition of stores and equipment required for fishing cruises.
