Job Group K

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:

Served in the grade of Senior Sports Technician a minimum of period of three (3) years;
Certificate in sports Administration and Management of equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Certificate in First Aid from a recognized institution; and

iv. Demonstrate merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

Duties and Responsibilities

Selection, classification and training of athletes and trainees in sports; officiating sports events;
Creating sports awareness and identifying youths with sports talent;
Developing sports talent; Preparing teams and organizing for sports competitions;
Identifying talented athletes for advanced training. Availing and advising on use of local sports facilities and equipments during competitions;
Drawing, implementing and evaluating sports programs and preparing reports of sports programs and activities in the district.
